First day of school...2010

Today the kids went back to school.

The emotions are HUGE! Drew started High School today..class of 2014 @ Grays Creek High School.
Honestly wasn't he just a little 4 year old starting Kindergarten at Bechtel Elementary School @ Camp McTureous in Okinawa, Japan? I know that seemed like yesterday to me. I can still see that little guy....in his perfectly matching Osh Kosh shorts and polo and rocking his Vans.

Ten years later....still rocking skate shoes but now it is American Eagle or Abercrombie...... could the next four years just crawl by please?

Today was Mads LAST first day of elementary school...next year she will be a MIDDLE Schooler.

Mads started her elementary school experience at Florence Bowser Elementary school in Suffolk, Virginia but only went to school there for four weeks. We were on the housing list and expecting to wait at least 12 months when Perry got the call that we had a house. You can bet that we moved onto base as fast as possible!

And now she is a FIFTH grader at Alderman Road Elementary in Hope Mills, NC. As always Mads is ready and excited for a new school year.

Last but NEVER least....Carolyn~Carly~Carl~Super Snarl or Snarlicious. Prior to this year, Carl has only attended one school ( Johnson Primary School Camp Lejeune, NC) and only had one teacher (the one and only Mrs. Melissa Snyder).

In all honesty.. being a part of the JPS family was not only a blessing but a real gift. Without a doubt..JPS is truly a family, from the staff to the students to the families. We loved our three years there and will always treasure the time we had there.
