Today the girls school had their first 9 weeks award ceremony. Thankfully P had the day off and was able to make the ceremonies since he won't make any of the rest this year :(. This is the first time the girls are attending a school that is NOT predominately military kids. We live about 30 minutes from the base and while quite a bit of the student body IS military, most are not. It makes in "interesting" to say the least!

Both ceremonies~they were at 10:30 and 1:30, started with a welcome by the Asst Principal and an invitation to attend all the wonderful holiday events coming up at school in the next month. She even invited us to the CHRISTMAS program..NOT the Holiday program. I LOVE that!
The third grade classes filed in and took their seats. P and I are SO proud to report that Carolyn received awards for Honor Roll, Perfect Attendance and Terrific Kid (an in class behavior based award). She also accomplished her AR goal but her % score was a little short for the award~NEXT time!
Madelyn received Honor Roll and an AR award for achieving her AR (Accelerated Reader) goal. No perfect attendence for this one...she missed 1 day in the 9 weeks! And I am assured that she will be awarded the Terrific Kid award..cause she is!
