~*~*~*O' Christmas Tree*~*~*~

We finally got around to the Christmas tree this afternoon after church. We usually get the tree up on Black Friday since I have NO desire to enter in that rat race of shopping...but since we had our Hammies here we postponed the tree lighting and golding until Sunday. Did I say lighting...that's right....Perry's FAVORITE part of the day! First of all our tree is 15 years young and looks it. Every year I say this is the last year but darn it...I love this tree! It takes about 2 hours to get the tree up and lit because I wrap EVERY branch with lights...about 1000 of them! The wrapping of lights has no holiday cheer in it what-so-ever and we usually have the Santa Clause trilogy going to combat the pissiness that comes with this part of the tree. After the lighting comes the golding...in that EVERY ball, ribbon and garland is gold. If I could get away with the ornaments all being gold I would TOTALLY do it!! That is as far as we got on Sunday night and we waited until Tuesday to finish the tree. I think it needs more gold but then again...it's me!

Maddie "golding" the tree..

I swear he was JUST a little guy who could barely reach to put his ornaments up.....:(

This ornament always reminds me of my Grandma Doris....she always put a little ornament on our gift. It is so weird the memories we have....

One of MANY Christmas crates....

It's so nice to capture them working together...

Strawberry Shortcake...and yes it still stinks!

One of our many "Oki-Balls"...this one represents a great year for us
"Our First Christmas Together~1995"

All five of us...for the first time.

Ohhh....yummers!!

The tree is done and gifts are being wrapped.  The gifts to be shipped all over the United States are being packed, labeled and out into the truck to be dropped off at the Post Office.

Now it is time to sit back, relax and enjoy being together for Christmas....
