Date Night.....

Yesterday Perry, the kids and I took a quick trip to Lejeune for a retirement and a hot date with our good friends..Jill and Dave Williams! Perry's boss from his last command was being surprised with a retirement ceremony after 32 years of service and P really wanted to be there. So we loaded up the kids (all four of them), the dog and some snacks (we stayed at the Hammie's-Stacy and the kids are in Michigan and it was sad without them there!).

After the retirement ceremony, Dave and Jill picked us up and we headed for Swansboro and Ducks Bar and Grille. It was SO beautiful out by the water! There was live music and the breeze was perfect! We started the evening with crab dip and bruschetta as well as a shrimp martini. Both P and I ordered Grilled Tuna and washed it down with some Fat Tire...YUMMO!!

Since Jill and I are both bloggers (to be honest..she is WAY better at it then me and WAY MORE consistent!) a camera is never far away!

Honestly.....it was a fabulous time with some awesome friends.  Thank goodness CL is only two hours away so we can see them as often as we like.....
