Today Mads moved into double digits and turned 10! It is hard to believe that ten years ago; Perry, Drew and I along with family and friends were so eagerly anticipating the birth of our little girl..the first grand daughter for our parents. She was due on April 14..a year and ten days after we said goodbye to Perry's mom, Annette. She was so patiently waiting for a grand daughter since she already had three grand sons and I SO wish that they could have met. It's ok though..since I knew she was with us in spirit and in our hearts.
Mads come into the world just as she operates.....at her own pace and full of love and peace. My labor with her lasted about 8 hours though we did have a few false starts. I learned my lesson with Drew and asked for drugs. Apart from having a complete (insert expletive of your choice here) Doctor...her birth was very calm and controlled. Mads was actually delivered by my nurse and it was her first delivery....making it special for both of us! Perry and I were also blessed to have had one of my very best friends Alana there to witness Mads birth.
We wound up celebrating Mads actual birthday at Aunt Stacy and Uncle Jon's house because we were in the middle of packing the house! Ms. Jayme, Madison, Lo, Ms. Kristy, Mr. Tim, TJ and Carrie joined us to wish our amazing Maddie Mo a Happy Ten Years!
Happy Birthday to the most amazing daughter we could EVER ask for!
We love you Madelyn!
