We've been flocked!

It is that time of year.....warm weather approaches, days are longer. We clean off our patio furniture and take to sitting out on porches..and flamingos fly to Camp Lejeune for Relay for Life. Last night while we were watching a movie, about a dozen flamingo's took up residence in our front yard!

The Camp Lejeune OWC (Officer's Wives Club and yes, I am a PROUD member) support giving cancer the boot participating in Relay for Life. Relay for Life is the signature fund raising activity of the American Cancer Society. It is a celebration of life and a community event to raise money for ALL CANCER RESEARCH, education advocacy and service. Relay for Life is also an opportunity to honor those who battle cancer and to remember those we have lost. Over 2,400 communities nationwide participate in Relay. For a donation of $25, I get to pick who will have the flock fly to their yard. You can bet that one of my friends will be waking up to a gaggle, group, herd, den, pack...no wait a FLOCK of flamingos come tomorrow morning!

The flock descended!
